Investing in Lifelong Learning for a Better Tomorrow – Ms Upasana Khanna, Deputy Manager – Concentrix
How was your experience with FIIB?
In my opinion, FIIB offered me the best opportunity to grow as a person. It has been a great learning experience for me to be a part of FIIB. The memories of those wonderful years fill my heart with immense pride, fondness, and gratitude. An enriching & eventful journey, filled with learning and zeal to look forward to another day, would sum up the experience at FIIB. Providing me with lifelong relationships and a place I can call my dear Alma Mater, it has and always will be close to my heart.
What role has FIIB played in your career success?
FIIB has been a guiding light in my journey since 2010. The kind of exposure, practical experience & platform to carve one’s own career the Institute has provided helps me make conscious and well-thought-out decisions. FIIB played a primary role in providing knowledge, skills, and experiences that contributed to my overall success and my career after graduation. Whenever I have needed professional support & guidance, the Institute has been helpful & ready to help. It was the rigorous curriculum, talented faculty, quality engagement learning, a strong alumni network, student clubs, and overall vibrant culture that enabled me to achieve a personality suitable for leadership roles in my corporate career.
What has been your biggest takeaway from the corporate world so far?
There is no dearth of knowledge & learning if one is open to learning. Ask and work for it, & you will succeed. Surround yourself with the smartest people you can and learn from them. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some of the most talented professionals across all departments and functions. Get involved, ask questions, and understand ‘why’ things are happening. Learning from other successful colleagues will set you apart from the rest. Also, never take your work stress home with you. To sum it all up, life is highly unpredictable. Work smartly, eat & think sensibly, laugh daily, and live life grandly.
Is there any message that you would like to leave for the FIIB community?
Even though we come from different segments and industries, we all share a heart that shapes us as individuals through FIIB. The campus should be treated like a community in which you live. Despite what you do in the classroom every day, there is so much more to discover outside of it. By taking part in new experiences, you will learn about yourself, but you will also face challenges. I recommend you think of the challenges as stepping forward – the hardest days will make you a better worker. It doesn’t matter what you do, you’re always learning and growing, which prepares you for tomorrow.
