From an agriculture background to leading sustainability initiatives on a global stage, Mansi Kaushik’s journey at FIIB (Fortune Institute of International Business) has been one of transformation, leadership, and real-world impact. In this conversation, she shares how pursuing a PGDM (MBA equivalent) at FIIB, Batch of 2024 -26 has shaped her bold journey in business management, providing her with the skills, exposure, and industry connections needed to succeed in her future endeavors.

Q: Mansi, tell us a bit about your background and what led you to pursue an MBA at FIIB.

Mansi: I come from Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Ambala, where I pursued a BSc in Agriculture. While agriculture is deeply connected to sustainability, I wanted to expand my understanding of business, leadership, and global impact.

An MBA from New Delhi, the hub of corporate growth, seemed like the right step to bridge that gap. I was looking for a business school that focused on practical learning, industry exposure, and leadership development—and that’s when I found FIIB, as it has a reputation of offering one of the best MBA programs in Delhi-NCR.

Q: What made FIIB stand out for you?

Mansi: When I discovered FIIB, it immediately stood out due to its focus on experiential learning, corporate exposure, and leadership development—key aspects I was seeking. The PGDM program is aligned with industry trends, and tools, offering practical insights that prepare us for real-world challenges.

What really impressed me were the consistent placement trends, even in challenging markets, which gives me confidence for my future. Beyond academics, FIIB emphasizes social impact, sustainability, and extracurricular activities—areas I’m passionate about and eager to explore. Throughout the year, FIIB organizes an exciting calendar of events that cater to every interest, passion, and curiosity. The events & speaker series uniquely combines academic insights with real-world experiences, making learning both engaging and relevant.

The mentoring program at FIIB goes beyond just academics, helping students build confidence, resilience, and leadership qualities. The Thrivepersonalized coaching program was a game-changer for me, guiding me in setting and refining my short- and long-term goals.

In addition to its quality education, FIIB’s strong support system ensures holistic development, preparing students to excel both professionally and personally.

Q: You are leading sustainability initiatives at an international level. Can you tell us about your role as the Regional Leader for South & Central Asia at PRME Global Students?

Mansi: Absolutely! Being part of PRME Global Students (PGS) is one of the most defining experiences of my MBA journey. As the Regional Leader for South & Central Asia, I represent student leaders from multiple countries, driving important conversations around responsible management education, ethical leadership, and sustainability. In this role, I am working on projects aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and collaborate with student leaders, corporates, and academic institutions to advance sustainability initiatives. At FIIB, I am constantly encouraged to take on leadership roles beyond the classroom. This experience is helping me hone my strategic thinking, expand my professional network, and make meaningful contributions to global change.

Q: Apart from global leadership, you’ve also been working on social impact initiatives. Can you share more about that?

Mansi: Yes, social impact has always been important to me, and FIIB provided the perfect platform to turn that passion into action. During my Social Internship Program (SIP) at FIIB, I had the opportunity to work with V-Shesh, a social enterprise focused on inclusive employment for people with disabilities. In this role, I conducted job interviews to help individuals with disabilities find employment, led social media campaigns promoting workplace inclusivity, and advocated for corporate diversity and equal opportunities. This experience really deepened my understanding of how business can drive social change.

Additionally, I serve as the Jr. Co-Head of FIIB’s GirlUp Club, part of the UN’s global initiative for gender equality. One of the most impactful initiatives I was involved in was “Beyond Labels: Towards Pride and Progress,” an event focused on LGBTQ+ inclusion and diversity, which was organized in collaboration with Girl Up India and Breaking Barriers at Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar. These experiences have not only helped me grow as a leader but also reinforced my belief that business can and should contribute to social responsibility.

Q: What’s next for you? How has FIIB prepared you for the future?

Mansi: Right now, I’m excited to be in the interview process for FIIB’s Corporate Internship Program (CIP), which will allow me to dive deeper into the intersection of strategy, sustainability, and leadership in a corporate setting. This is the perfect opportunity to apply the knowledge I’ve gained at FIIB in a real-world, fast-paced environment while continuing to grow as a leader. I believe it’s the ideal next step to bridge the gap between theory and practice, setting the stage for more impactful contributions to the business world.

Looking further ahead, FIIB has not just shaped my career, but it has truly transformed the way I think about leadership and decision-making. FIIB has instilled in me the confidence to approach business challenges with a strategic mindset, the adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments, and the ability to make impactful decisions. As I look forward, I am eager to continue applying these skills in corporate strategy, sustainability, and leadership, ultimately creating lasting change in every space I step into.

Q: What would you say to someone considering FIIB for their MBA?

Mansi: A great business school isn’t just about classes or credentials—it’s about how it transforms you. At FIIB, I’ve found more than just an MBA; I’ve found a platform that pushes me to lead, take bold steps, and create impact beyond the classroom. If you’re looking for an MBA experience that goes beyond academics and truly prepares you for leadership in the real world, FIIB is the place to be.

It’s not just about earning a degree—it’s about developing skills, building connections, and gaining practical exposure that will shape your career. At FIIB, you’ll be encouraged to think critically, take initiative, and push boundaries. The journey here will challenge you, inspire you, and prepare you to lead in today’s fast-evolving business landscape. If you’re ready to take the leap, embrace the Never Stop Learning mindset, and are eager to build a future of impact, FIIB is where it all begins.

Best,
