Aligned with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Purple Bharat Utsav was meticulously curated to promote inclusivity and accessibility across various facets of life. The festival’s theme, “United in Action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with, and buy PwDs,” resonated throughout the day’s events. A spectrum of activities, including round table conferences, keynote addresses, plenary discussions, cultural performances, and exhibitions, actively fostered inclusivity. Round Table Conference on Inclusive Employment Ecosystem
The Purple Round Table Conference, a highlight of the Utsav, focused on “Building Inclusive Employment Ecosystem in India: Challenges & Opportunities.” Esteemed panels comprising Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) experts, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Heads, DEI Activists, and representatives from Social Service Organizations (SSOs) delved into the landscape of inclusive employment in India. Chaired by Ms. Radhika Shrivastava, Executive Director at FIIB, discussions centred on market dynamics, the commercial viability of disability-inclusive employment, and insights from leading private companies in India. The session aimed to inspire further developments in inclusive employment within the Indian corporate sector. The Purple Bharat Utsav at FIIB was a profound testament to the power of inclusive initiatives. It provided a platform for vital dialogues, shedding light on inclusive employment’s transformative impact and reinforcing the imperative for a more inclusive corporate landscape in India.
