New Tradition at FIIB to recognize achievements of FIIB Community
December 24, 2014

23rd December 2014 marked the beginning of a new tradition at FIIB. Everyone in the FIIB Community came forward with zest to recognize and celebrate the achievements of faculty, staff and students. FIIB has always aimed to create a sustainable environment for learning and achieving excellence. The intent behind starting this new tradition was to create buzz and positivity around. It recognized the efforts put in by one and all in the FIIB community and will continue to acknowledge the initiatives and successes in a monthly ritual. The ritual will consist of ringing the Buddhist Gong and briefing about the achievement; the Gong serves as a holy start to usher in more achievements in future.

The event, on 23rd December 2014, began with Ms. Radhika Srivastava’s, Executive Director – FIIB, inspirational words to encourage everyone in the campus for upholding FIIB’s name to a new high. There was a lot of joy and excitement in the environment when the Buddhist Gong was rung 40 times marking huge accomplishment in the past month.

A few achievements to be noted are -

  1. FIIB received 2 awards on 8th December 2014 for Education Excellence 2014 organized jointly by ASSOCHAM and Education Post in the categories of Best Management Institute for Industry Interface in India and Best Management Institute for Entrepreneurship Development in North India
  2. FIIB won Inter College Annual Marketing Quiz competition on 15th December 2014 organized by Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida.
  3. Case Presentation and Publication of two faculties, Professor Nimit Gupta and Professor Khan in the areas of Marketing and Finance respectively.
  4. Brand Rovers, FIIB’s Marketing Club received the acclaim of most innovative initiative taken to address social cause. A video was made to popularize the idea and the work undertaken. The club members took initiative to spread the message via the social media route.

In addition to the above achievements, FIIB witnessed a successful start to the Placement Season this year. With 35 students already placed at renowned companies, FIIB celebrated the moment by ringing the gong and hanging the ‘Good Wishes’ Stars in their name in the central courtyard of the campus (now known as the ‘Star World’.) This initiative will continue to give a greater impetus to the placement drive at the campus and also serve as motivation to other students.

The gong, stars and achievements cheered up the environment and spread positivity amongst all. Also, the new tradition encouraged everyone to take initiatives and create a league of achievement at FIIB.
