Sustainability Summit 2016
Sustainability, a key value that drives FIIB, is beautifully put to practice by FIIB-ians round the year through Jaagriti, a student club that stands for social causes. Jaagriti works with a mandate to make a difference in the society by garnering the energies and ideas of the management graduate fraternity. To meet this mission, Jaagriti organizes various events round the year and works in the direction of creating awareness and ensuring that the fraternity of the college upholds the key value of sustainability. Every year the MBA student of the college run this club, organizing various drives like Blood Donation Camp, E waste Collection Drive and Clothing Drive. The college club also partners with leading organizations that work in this field to undertake sustainability projects. Used papers from the college are recycled with the help of Chintan and Donation Campaigns are undertaken in association with Goonj around the year.
16th February 2016
As a result of their efforts, the institute was able to make meaningful contributions including collection of 120 units of blood, 92 Kg of E-Waste, and 90 Kg of Old Clothes. On the occasion of its 22nd Founder’s Day FIIB is holding the Sustainability Summit on 27th Feb 2016 at the campus. Credited amongst few management Institutes in India, FIIB Delhi has made conscious attempts to adopt Sustainability in its PGDM curriculum- across different functional areas, courses and also providing learning opportunities around Sustainability to its college students and faculty alike. A focused core course in the two year curriculum stands testimony to the efforts of the Institute. The course focusses on sustainability and sensitizes management students to why sustainability has become an important agenda item for all responsible corporates and institutions, and how they are realizing their financial potential with a strong eye to environmental, social, and governance issues such as climate change, access to water, disclosure and transparency, and the impact business operations may have on local communities.
