Pioneering Contributions to Quantitative Marketing & Efficiency Assessment

Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB) is glad and excited to Congratulate Prof. Nitin Sachdeva Associate Professor (Operations) on reaching this important milestone. He was recently awarded for his “Pioneering Contributions to Quantitative Marketing & Efficiency Assessment” at the 7th International Conference on Quality, Reliability, Infocom Technology and Business Operations (ICQRITBO).The Conference was organized by the Society for Reliability Engineering, Quality and Operations Management (SREQOM) Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi and also co-organized by The Lulea University of Technology, Sweden on 28th December to 30th December 2015.
The International Conference on Quality, Reliability, Infocom Technology and Business Operations is the leading international platform to disseminate information on most recent and relevant advancement in research, theories and practices in the areas, not restricted to, quality, reliability, Infocom technology and business operations. This conference has always been hosted by pioneered University of Delhi in collaboration with Lulea University of Technology, Sweden and has been attended by around 500 participants from over 10 countries each time. The theme on “Business Operations” aims at linking researcher’s and practitioner’s from different branches of industrial engineering and management from around the world. The theme has been widely recognized and is most appropriate in the present and upcoming times. The sustainable development and continuous improvement as a result of technological applications and organizational innovation (i.e. products/services, and process management) will be the focal point. Business Operations involves management, operation, and maintenance of complex business and technical systems. The Conference will not only take stock of trends and developments at the turn of the millennium, but will also provide future directions. Besides, it will help in sharing of experience and exchange of ideas, which will foster National/International collaboration.
Prof. Sachdeva led the Technical Session during the Conference. He also holds a vast experience in the area of teaching specifically in the field of Operations Research, Quantitative Techniques, Business Statistics, Operation Management, Data Mining & Business Intelligence. He is also the member of Society for Reliability Engineering Quality and Operations Management (SREQOM) and reviewer of International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management (IJSAEM).

- AuditoriumFIIB’s state-of-the-art auditorium can seat over 150 individuals and has provisions for video conferencing along with other ultra-modern technologies. Students also enjoy the provision of multiple conference and seminar halls if required.
- CafeteriaA fully functional cafeteria serves sumptuous meals and beverages all through the day for the students to refresh and revive. Students not only enjoy the meals here but sometimes unwind sitting in the area over a cup of coffee.
- ClassroomsThe state of the art classrooms at the Institute enhance the learning experience of students as they are equipped with the latest equipment including projectors, screens, options for video conferencing etc.
- Electronic Resource CentreThe campus hosts a state-of-the-art computer lab housing over 180 terminals and 200 laptops. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Online Learning and Teaching Software is also provided for flexibility and access to learning material at all times.
- Indoor GamesThe recreational centre has arrangements for several indoor sports like pool, table tennis, carom and chess. These may be accessed by students during their breaks and can be used as effective recreational tools to relax.
- Knowledge Resource CentreStudents can access a fully computerized and air-conditioned library housing over 15,000 books, 195 periodicals/journals, 750 audio-visual and multimedia. The Library subscribes to major online research and informational databases.
- Outdoor GamesThe Campus also has provisions badminton, volleyball and a number of outdoor games and activities
- Recreational CentreThe recreational centre of FIIB provides its students space and opportunity to indulge in activities like indoor games and relax. The Centre is outfitted with television, student lockers and various indoor sports like pool table, table tennis, carom and chess.
