International Symposium at FIIB

India has witnessed an unprecedented growth and prosperity, thanks to globalization and favorable economic policies. However, benefits of globalization have not reached all the sections of the society, especially the marginalized and deprived communities. According to Economic Survey, India shall be the youngest nation by 2021, as is evident from the fact that with over 64% of population will fall in the category of working age population (15-59 years). Job creation remained a concern where India needed to create eighty-one lakh jobs a year to maintain its employment rate (South Asia Economic Focus Report). The steady growth rate of 7% to 8 % is good but not enough to meet the urgency (World Bank Report). Superior public policy and greater economic integration is the strategies for insulating India from economic slowdown and foster faster economic development.

"The Symposium aims to discuss these socio economic circumstances and development in detail with some of the most eminent research scholars of the subject. The key point agenda of the symposium are as follows:

  • To discuss and deliberate on issues related to economic growth, sustainable development and business practices and their impact on public policies, governance and communities.
  • To facilitate discussion on business and economy that will expedite global growth and economic development through exchange of ideas and frameworks.
  • To establish networking ties between members of academia and industries and to act as an avenue for future research collaborations.
  • To develop focused research topics discussion in making the research more meaningful and facilitating in publication.
