Message from Executive Director

Data is surging through businesses like a tsunami wave and changing the job requirements for all employees in major ways. No longer are decisions made on intuitions and guts; instead, decisions based on business intelligence and data analytics is the need of the hour. Whether these are decisions relating to pricing strategies of a firm or relating to hiring decisions; all administrative and economic activities require this kind of data-driven thinking.
At the heart of this changed organization lies the role of the erstwhile MIS executive. They are being recast to play the role of a magician who taps into the data and converts it to meaningful insight. Every successful and effective manager is relying on their business intelligence team to communicate information of high value to support decision making demands.
In this changed world, the staff involved in these functions are not just required to have the technical skills relating to manipulating data; they also require the analytic and problem solving skills, as well as the knowledge of tools and techniques required to efficiently deliver their roles as Business Intelligence Analyst or Insights Manager or at senior level as an Analytics Consultant well versed in tools like Excel, Microsoft, Power BI, R, QlikView/Qlik Sense and Tableau.
