In today’s business context, Case Writing is a need because of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA) in the environment. The learnings from the various business situations, if captured well in a story form, provide a great learning experience to the college students and teachers.
FCRC (FIIB's Case Research Centre), is an initiative in pursuit of excellence in management education and research. The case form, being a good story method in stimulating the students of the college to think and analyze, is a key pedagogical tool for management education. FCRC works towards building case teaching as well as case writing in business management related areas with the objective of enhancing the teaching-learning experience through case studies. The FIIB Case Research Centre (FCRC) aims to --
- Build case teaching skills among faculty members
- Develop case writing among faculty members
- Cultivate case writing among students, independent researchers and corporate executives
Through these initiatives, the case research of the college, aims to create a repository of cases written specifically in the Indian Context.
FCRC of the college, is the nodal body through which teaching cases are curated for college’s own journal, the FBR (FIIB Business Review) as well for internationally reputed publication houses such as the Ivey and Case Centre.
A series of activities are conducted to promote the central idea of the college’s Case Research Centre. These activities are aligned with the steps to build case writing skills in an individual.
